Real Progress Is Found in the Small Details
But its impact? Enormous.

Ariel Tabachnik is not only a member of Israel Elwyns “Shavim” Band — he’s also a living example of what happens when a person receives professional guidance, genuine belief, and the time they need to grow.

Ariel’s journey began at the Mimush Center in Herzliya, an employment training program operated by Israel Elwyn, in partnership with the Herzliya Municipality and the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs. Over time, he built a foundation of skills, self-confidence, and functional independence. When ready, he advanced to the next stage — to work at the Kirya Base in Tel Aviv.

He started with small tasks — folding napkins, cleaning, operating the dishwasher. Each task became an opportunity to grow. With his calm, pleasant approach and impressive sense of responsibility, Ariel soon became one of the team’s outstanding workers.

Recently, thanks to his ongoing progress, Ariel took another major step forward — transitioning to an independent job at Super Yuda in Herzliya.
There, he faces everyday challenges with courage: arriving on time, coordinating with the team, taking breaks, ending his shift — all on his own. His growing ability to share difficulties is another clear sign of emotional development and maturity.

Ariel’s story reminds us all: When people have a strong professional and supportive foundation — they can go far. Very far.

Ariel, thank you for reminding us why we do what we do.
And to the dedicated teams at the Mimush Center and our Job Placement Program in the Sharon and Central Branch — you’re making magic happen. ✨

A Special Memorial Day at the Sabbah Adult Day Center in Jerusalem 🕯️

Today, we paused everything — to remember, to honor, and to embrace.

We held a moving ceremony in memory of Sergeant Evyatar Ohayon Abuksis, z”l, 22, from Jerusalem — a brave soldier and beloved son of Yasmin, a staff member at Israel Elwyn’s Supported Living Program.

We watched a video from a national ceremony and reflected on the tragic events of October 7th and the difficult stories that followed.
We listened to Yasmin’s voice in her interview on Galei Tzahal (Israeli Radio Station) — filled with pride and pain.
We lit a virtual memorial candle on the remembrance website.

Then, together, we went down to the beautiful garden established in his memory within the Supported Living Campus.
We held a short ceremony, lit a candle, and placed stones on the memorial display.

The service recipients were deeply moved — to tears — by the moment, the meaning, and the shared embrace.

Evyatar, your memory lives within us.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in this meaningful day.
And to Yasmin — thank you for your strength, love, and openness.

May his memory be a blessing.

International Occupational Therapy Day – A Tribute to Those Who Make a Difference 🩺💙🌍
In honor of International Occupational Therapy Day, we want to extend a huge thank-you to all our occupational therapists across Israel, in the many branches and
