אחרי שנים במסגרות דיור, שי אליאס עבר לדירה משלו!

גאים בו מאוד ושמחים על הזכות ללוות אותו כחלק מ"המעטפת לחיים עצמאיים ואוטונומיים- מודל מעובה" בשיתוף ג'וינט ישראל- מעבר למוגבלות ומשרד הרווחה והביטחון החברתי.

מצורף קטע מרגש ששי כתב תחת הכותרת: "בחרתי בחופש":
"סוף סוף הגיע הרגע הזה שכל אדם מחכה לו, מצפה לו ושואף אליו- להיות חופשי. בשנים האחרונות, התגוררתי במסגרות תומכות, בהן חייתי כפוף לכללים שלא תמיד אפשרו לי, למרות המעטפת התומכת, למצות את הפוטנציאל שיש לי. תמיד רציתי בית משלי, שאוכל לנוע בו מתי שאני רוצה, לאן שרק ארצה, וזאת הסיבה שהחלטתי לצאת לדיור עצמאי בקהילה. אני מאושר שקיבלתי את ההחלטה ואני מאחל לעוד רבים כמוני לקבל את ההזדמנות לצאת לעצמאות".

We are excited to share that after years of residing in supported living programs, Shai Elias recently moved into his own apartment!

We are very proud of him and happy to have the privilege of supporting him as part of the expanded Community Living Program, in collaboration with JDC-Unlimited and the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs.

Shai wrote a moving passage entitled "I Chose Freedom":

"Finally, the moment has come that every human being looks forward to and strives towards – to be free. In recent years, I have lived in supported living programs, where I lived according to rules that did not always enable me, despite the warm support, to realize my potential. I always wanted a home of my own, where I could move as I wished, wherever I wanted, and that's why I decided to move to independent housing in the community. I am happy that I made this decision and I hope that many more people like me will take the opportunity to become independent."

צוות סניף השרון והמרכז נפגש בנמל תל אביב, ליום למידה סניפי ובמהלכו הם נהנו ממפגש הפגתי ומפנק ומגוון הרצאות העשרה בנושאים: חדשנות- מה קורה בעולם החדש? עם תומר יהודיין, על הנעה והנאה מיטבית בחיינו עם אבנר כהן ומופע מרגש ויצירתי במיוחד של תיאטרון פרפרזה פלייבק.

תודה גדולה לחברת Wix שפתחו את דלתם ואירחו אותנו במשרדיהם, נשמח מאוד להמשך שיתופי פעולה!

שתהיה לכל צוותי אלווין ישראל שנה ברוכה של למידה משמעותית וצמיחה.

The staff of the Sharon and Central Israel Branch met at the Tel Aviv Port for a branch study day, during which they enjoyed an enriching meeting with a variety of lectures and presentations on the topics of Innovation – What is Happening in the New World? by Tomer Yehudain; On Motivation and Optimal Enjoyment in Our Lives by Avner Cohen; and a particularly moving and creative performance by the Paraphrase Playback Theater.

We wish to give a big shout out to Wix, who opened their doors and hosted us in their offices, we would be thrilled to continue this collaboration!

תכירו את הודיה באבאי מבית ספר מישרים, התנסתה בסופר פארם סניף שוהם וזאת במסגרת תוכנית יוצרים עתיד. צוות הסניף קיבל אותה בחום ובפתיחות וסייע לה ללמוד ולהתקדם ועל כך אנחנו רוצים להם להודות מקרב לב.



As a participant in the Creating a Future program, Hodaya Babai from the Misharim School gained her on-the-job training at the Shoham branch of Super-Pharm.

The branch’s staff welcomed her warmly and openly and helped her learn and advance, and for that we would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

איאד זייתון, הינו מדריך מוערך ואהוב שעבד באלווין כ-20 שנים.
לצערנו, לפני מספר חודשים הוא החליט לעזוב ולהתקדם לעבר התפקיד הבא.

אבל אלוויניסט נשאר אלוויניסט בנשמה וכשהיינו צריכים עזרה הוא בא בריצה.

דיירי בית חנן יצאו בשבוע שעבר לחופש והיה חסר לנו מדריך ואיאד הגיע בהתנדבות לנופש ונתן, כמו תמיד את הנשמה.

תודה רבה איאד!

Iyad Zeitoun is a respected and beloved direct support staff member who worked at Israel Elwyn for about 20 years.

Unfortunately, a few months ago, he decided to leave and move on to his next job.

But he has remained an Elwynist in his soul, and when we asked for his help recently, he was more than willing to come to our assistance.

The residents of Beit Hanan went on a vacation last week and we were missing a guide.

Iyad came voluntarily to help on the vacation and gave of himself wholeheartedly, as always.

תכירו את יובל נוי ובר, תלמיד תיכון אורה מודיעים ברמת גן, משתתף בתוכנית "יוצרים עתיד".

יובל השתלב בגולדה סניף בורוכוב גבעתיים בהתנסות תעסוקתית והציב לעצמו מטרה- להשתלב בסניף כעובד בשכר מן המניין.

בעזרת צוות הסניף המיוחד בהובלה של דרור המנהל, הליווי המקצועי של מיכאל בלר מאלווין ובעיקר נחישות ומוטיבציה של יובל השיג את מטרתו ועבד בקיץ בסניף בשכר.

Meet Yuval Noi Weber, a student at the Ora Modiim High School in Ramat Gan and a participant in the Creating a Future program.

Recently, Yuval was included in the Golda ice-cream chain at the Borochov branch in Givatayim, after his on-the-job training there and setting a goal to be included as a full-time paid employee.

With the help of the branch’s wonderful staff, led by Dror, the manager, the professional support of Michael Beller from Israel Elwyn, and especially with Yuval's strong motivation, he managed to achieve his goal and spent the summer working at the branch while receiving a salary.

Congratulations to Yuval 💪 and a big thank you to Dror and the staff at the Borochov (Givatayim) branch of Golda.
