Adult Day Programs
Adult Day Programs
Israel Elwyn’s Adult Day Programs provide services to people with disabilities aged 21 and over who require comprehensive support on a daily basis. The centers offer opportunities for social interaction, the expansion of skills for independent living, and participation in a variety of expressive, recreational, and other activities.
The Adult Day Programs aim to support each person in fulfilling their potential, according to their preferences, together with a comprehensive individual plan and any necessary adaptations.
As part of the program, the service recipients receive individual and group therapies from a professional staff of health therapists, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and others. Additionally, they receive emotional support from social workers, and participate in expressive therapies, such as art, music, drama, and more.
Israel Elwyn’s Adult Day Programs foster an integral relationship with the community and ongoing efforts are made to reinforce this through volunteerism and together with dedicated partners from other organizations.
Through shared activities, the Adult Day Programs have become an essential part of the surrounding communities, thereby benefiting everyone.

The Adult Day Programs contribute to the community through a process of inclusion. The service recipients at Adult Day Centers can volunteer, with the support of Israel Elwyn’s staff, in various settings, such as kindergartens, schools, retirement facilities, meal distribution centers, and more. The different areas of volunteerism include ongoing activities, such as participation in a choir at a retiree center, story hour at a kindergarten, or one-time activities like distribution of New Year’s greeting cards, and distributing Purim gift baskets in retiree centers and hospitals.
Volunteers who come to the program include private individuals, college students, National Service volunteers, high school students, organized groups, and employee organizations. Volunteer activity is suited to the volunteer’s preferences and the program’s needs.
