David Marcu
President
David Marcu has over three decades of experience at Israel Elwyn in various roles including his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 1993.
In January 2022, David was appointed President of the organization.
David served until recently as Treasurer and member of the Board of the Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies and was a member of the Board of Israel’s “Civic Leadership” which is the umbrella association of all non-profit organizations in Israel. He was a member of the Forum of Experts for the Development of Legislation for Comprehensive Early Intervention Services in Israel; the Forum for Early Intervention and was a member of the Board of the Israeli Council for Social Welfare.
In 2022, the Honorable Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, presented David with the 2021 Sylvan Adams Nefesh B’Nefesh Bonei Zion Prize in the area of Community and Non-Profit.
David holds a BA in Near Eastern and Jewish Studies from Brandeis University, an MBA in Business Administration from Temple University and an MA in Talmud and Rabbinic Literature from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
