What do kids take from their parents?
Sometimes it’s a love of hiking.
Sometimes it’s a recipe for shakshuka.
And sometimes—it’s a sense of purpose.

Meet Ido Bolandi and Lior Zilberman—two teens, children of Bezeq employees, who chose to dedicate two weeks of their summer vacation to giving back.

As part of the “Bezeq Youth Leading Volunteerism” initiative—an inspiring collaboration between Israel Elwyn and Bezeq—Ido and Lior joined the team at the Keshet Center in Holon. They helped out, learned, and listened.

In a world where it’s easy for teens to disappear behind screens—they chose to show up with heart.
And they’re not alone. Across the country, more young people—children of Bezeq employees—are volunteering with Israel Elwyn, and each story continues to move us.

A huge thank you to Bezeq, to Irit Nagar Mor, and to Liat Esperanza—for turning values into action.
This is what pride looks like. This is what a hopeful future feels like.

🎶 Thank you for the music. Thank you for the heart. ❤️
Alon Sarig, Asaf Yuval, and Shilo Wikinski—three talented students from the Rimon School of Music—accompanied us throughout the year at our Adult Day Center in Ramat HaSharon.

But they didn’t just accompany us.
They showed up with open hearts, week after week.
With energy.
With soul.
With music that touches the heart—even without words.

Every session was a journey—a musical journey through styles, artists, and songs… but also an emotional, social, and human journey.

And there were moments you simply couldn’t ignore:
Eyes softened.
Voices opened.
Hearts connected.

🙏 Thank you—for your professionalism, your sensitivity, your dedication.
But most of all, thank you for your generous hearts.

A heartfelt thank you as well to the Rimon School of Music, which continues to send us such gifted students each year. We are deeply grateful for this meaningful partnership.

You didn’t just leave behind melodies—you left us with memories that will stay long after the music fades

What happens when young soldiers in uniform come for a special visit?

We were delighted to welcome Military Police soldiers from Anatot Base to the Merhavim Center in our Supported Living Services.

What started as a summer activity turned into a moment of genuine human connection.
They listened, played, laughed—and were simply present.
No barriers, no masks.
Just open hearts.

A small reminder:
We’re all just people. And connections? They make the world a softer place.

Thank you for coming. You’re invited back anytime. 💙

What happens when students are given the opportunity to feel truly valued? 💙
Matanel, Ilai, and Noam—three students from the “Gvanim” School in Modi’in—recently completed their on-the-job-training at Yad Sarah, a volunteer led provider of health and home care services in Israel. But they didn’t just sort medical equipment. They felt that they were helping people. That they were part of something bigger. That they mattered.

This internship was part of Israel Elwyn’s “Creating a Future” program —an organization that believes everyone deserves a chance. Not just to dream about their future—but to shape it with their own hands.

At Yad Sarah, under the guidance of Eli Rozenberg and dedicated volunteers Amos Ben Shahar, Eliyahu Shorki, and Levi Chaim—the students weren’t just welcomed. They were mentored. Believed in.

✨ “Kindness is the thread that ties together all that is good in creation,” says a Hasidic quote. And for you—it’s not just a quote. It’s a way of life.

A big thank you also to Merav Weiss, Job Placement Coordinator at the Gvanim High School, and to Itay Barak from Israel Elwyn—for their heartfelt partnership and close guidance.

🧡 Sometimes, all it takes is someone who believes in you.
And sometimes, it takes an entire chain of support.

Share this post to strengthen more partnerships like this one. So that more students can feel that they matter. So we can keep creating a future—together.

📚 What is the “Creating a Future” Program?
It’s a transitional program designed for high school students in their final years. The program equips teens from special education (ages 16–21) or general education (ages 16–18) with tools and skills for developing a personal future orientation. Students explore options like military or national service, academic studies, vocational training, and employment in the competitive job market.

The program was developed by the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and is operated by Israel Elwyn.

Take a look at this heartwarming picture—a group of young adults who were given the opportunity, like anyone else, to serve in the army, and they are doing it brilliantly and professionally!

It’s no wonder that the Eliakim Army Base in the north was awarded the Northern Commanders Prize for the inclusion of individuals with disabilities into a variety of roles and departments at the base.

The base is a symbol and a model of true social and national cooperation, recognizing the abilities of individuals and bringing dozens of young people into meaningful military service every year.

The army, along with the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs, proudly leads these important and groundbreaking initiatives. In recent years, we have witnessed the inclusion of many young adults with disabilities into the IDF. It is important to understand the significance of military service for young adults with disabilities, especially in Israeli society, where enlistment is a crucial social status symbol that greatly influences their future.

If you know any young adults with disabilities who received an exemption from the army and are interested in enlisting, contact us, and we will support them all the way through their enlistment and during their military service.

Israel Elwyn operates the Inclusion in Uniform program with funding and supervision from the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs. The program is also generously supported by the Bnai Zion Foundation.

It’s not easy to understand how they communicate, but when I arrive at Israel Elwyns Center in Haifa and see how happy they are to see me, I know it’s 100% real.
— Alexey Sedykh

We’re excited to share that Alexey (Lesha) Sedykh, a student who made aliyah from Russia several years ago and currently volunteers at the Crossroads to a Career Center in Haifa, has been awarded a national certificate of excellence as part of a scholarship from the Israel Student Authority in the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration!

We were proud to accompany him yesterday to the moving ceremony in Jerusalem, where we saw the humble smile of someone who gives wholeheartedly, without expecting anything in return.

Lesha led a special, in-depth art workshop that enabled young adults with disabilities to express themselves. His final project culminated in an art exhibition in a Haifa gallery—an exhibition that gave their creations a platform and gave voice to those who are sometimes left without words.

Thank you, Lesha, for the heart, the generosity, humanity, and the light you bring to every encounter.

🎥 Don’t miss the moving video we created about Lesha’s volunteer journey:
