Israel Elwyn has enjoyed a long-standing relationship of cooperation with the University of Haifa’s School of Social Work. Within the framework of this alliance, Israel Elwyn’s Haifa and Northern Israel Branch conducts tours and dialogues with BA program students and students in the Social Work Completion Program.

The University of Haifa, The Department of Occupational Therapy
Israel Elwyn has enjoyed a long-standing relationship of cooperation with the Department of Occupational Therapy. Within the framework of this alliance, Israel Elwyn accepts first-year occupational therapy students for a yearly program of practical training at various Israel Elwyn programs that provide services for individuals ranging in age from preschool to retirees in Haifa and Northern Israel.

The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Faculty of Medicine
Israel Elwyn has enjoyed a long-standing relationship of cooperation with the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine. Within the framework of this alliance, Israel Elwyn’s Haifa and Northern Israel Branch hosts first- and second-year medical students at various Israel Elwyn programs as part of the “Being a Doctor” Program, enabling student encounters with diverse populations whom students will encounter during their future career as doctors.

The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Faculty of Architecture
Israel Elwyn held a number of successful collaborations with the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning. Within the framework of this connection, Israel Elwyn’s Haifa and Northern Israel Branch hosted architectural students at various Israel Elwyn programs. Likewise, Israel Elwyn worked together with the faculty within the framework of a course to design a day center for individuals with disabilities. An Israel Elwyn representative sat on the judges’ panel for the “Best Design for an Adult Day Center for People with Disabilities” competition.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Hadassah School of Nursing
Israel Elwyn has enjoyed a long-standing relationship of cooperation with the Henrietta Szold School of Nursing at Hadassah and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. As part of these established cooperative activities, students participate in exposure and acquaintance days during which they meet service recipients from Israel Elwyn’s community living services.

The Hebrew University, Hadassah Hospital Medical School
Medical school students participate in an annual visit to Israel Elwyn’s Jerusalem Day programs. The goal of this partnership is to expose students to a variety of populations, mainly individuals with disabilities, as part of their training program. A number of students choose to grow their knowledge of and exposure to service recipients through volunteering in Israel Elwyn’s Jerusalem community living services.

The Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare
Israel Elwyn’s Academy for Continued Education partners with the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work. Academy representatives lecture to students on topics which include providing support to individuals with disabilities and transitioning of individuals with disabilities from supported living programs to community-based homes.

The David Yellin Academic College of Education’s Special Education Program
Within the context of this cooperative relationship, residents from Israel Elwyn’s community living services speak with students, expounding on the needs, the support, the adjustment and the dialogue necessary, in their opinion, to get along with individuals with disabilities.

Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA)
For over five years, Israel Elwyn’s community living services has enjoyed a relationship of cooperation with the Israel Arts and Science Academy. As part of this bond, tenth- through twelfth-grade students opting to volunteer visit Israel Elwyn’s community living services.

The Hebrew University Secondary School
During the past year, Israel Elwyn’s community living services and the Hebrew University Secondary School in Jerusalem initiated a new cooperative program. Within the framework of this collaboration, ninth-grade through twelfth-grade students may choose to volunteer in Israel Elwyn’s community living services.

Israel Elwyn’s community living services has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Jerusalem Pre-Military Preparatory Program. As part of this collaboration, pre-military program students regularly visit Israel Elwyn’s community living services.
